The User Details panel enables management of email and multi-factor authentication features when there are multiple users in the database. The panel will be displayed in one of two ways, depending on whether the currently logged-in user is an Admin or Non Admin.
Admin | Non Admin |
Admin User Details Panel
When logged in to an Artsystem5 database as an Admin user, the grid panel will appear as in the screenshot above left, with a list of all users visible. In this panel it is possible to manage all individual email account settings, and add a phone number for multi-factor authentication login.
Non Admin User Details Panel
When logged in to an Artsystem5 database as a Non Admin user, the panel will appear as in the screenshot above right. Only the individual user email and multi-factor authentication fields will be visible, for the currently logged in user.
User Detail Settings
The Email and Phone fields on this panel are used in conjunction with the email and multi-factor authentication features respectively. Completed User Detail fields are necessary for the features to be fully functional on an individual user basis.
After linking an active email account, users may send mail directly from A5 using SMTP (simple mail transfer protocol) relay service. Artsystem5 is not an email browser and the email feature can be used only for outgoing (sending) mail delivery only. There is no inbox or option for incoming email configuration.

Email Account Configuration PDF
IMPORTANT: The email settings found here on the User Details panel are for INDIVIDUAL account management. To configure the global account, use the SETTINGS>Advanced panel instead.
Prior to configuring email in Artsystem5, the following pieces of information should be obtained directly from the email service provider for each email account that will be set up:
- Outgoing mail (SMTP) server
- Outgoing mail (SMTP) port number
- Secure authentication required?
- Account username
- Account password
Multi-Factor Authentication
When enabled on the SETTINGS>General page, this feature will add an additional requirement of a passcode that is sent to the user by email or text, prior to login.
