Artsystem5 is equipped with a secure Multi-Factor Authentication login option, which can be enabled by a database administrator, for all users. In order to use this feature, users MUST have either a valid email or phone number saved with their login credentials. Follow the instructions below to deploy MFA authentication.
Step 1 - Configure User Contact Details
Each end user should complete the steps below to add their contact details to the system. This form must contain a valid email account or phone number (or both), otherwise MFA will not be enabled for this user.
- Login to A5
- Click SETTINGS>User Details
- Fill out the webform with appropriate end-user contact details
- Click the Close button, and then Save the changes
Step 2 - Enable MFA Checkbox
After each user has added and confirmed their contact details, enable the checkbox on the General Settings tab, and accept the terms for use of the feature.
- Click SETTINGS>General
- Checkmark the Enable-Multi Factor Authentication setting
- Accept the storage authorization
- Enter a value for "Authentication Interval"
*NOTE: A value of "0" indicates that users must receive a code for every login attempt - Click the Close button, and then Save the changes
- Logout from A5 to test the configuration
Step 3 - Login to Artsystem5
Upon each login attempt to the system, outside of the established "Authentication Interval," the user will be prompted to select a second code for login, in addition to their username and password. Depending on the configured contact details, a choice will be offered between email or sms text delivery, enabling the user to obtain a passcode.

IMPORTANT: On the first login attempt after configuration, all users will be prompted to consent / opt-in to receiving passcodes for authentication. This is required, and users who do not consent are denied access.
