The Preview Pane is a quick way to see the most important details for any record within a module, without having to open the full record detail.
- Single click on a record row in the spreadsheet to open the Preview Pane on the right side of screen
- Click the X on the upper right corner of the pane to close the Preview Pane
Preview Pane Information
The details displayed in the Preview Pane will depend on the currently loaded module. In the Works example above, the Preview Pane displays basic record information; such as primary image, tombstone [artist, title, year, media, dimensions, inv #], active retail value, status, ownership, location, dates added/modified, and notes.
Action Toolbar
Centrally located within the Preview Pane is a row of buttons. These button functions will vary depending on the currently loaded module, but they always provide actions relative to the displayed record preview. In the Works example below, the Action Toolbar includes buttons to switch to presentation layout mode, and generate reports, transactions, and emails with a single click.
Navigation Toolbar
At the bottom of the Preview Pane is a menu of buttons for navigating the records in the spreadsheet. In the Works example below, the Navigation Toolbar has a count of rows in the current spreadsheet view (155), along with the relative row number of the currently displayed record (15), at the center. The arrow buttons allow the user to move through the dataset; double arrows jump to first or last record, single arrows move to previous or next record.
NOTE: Large data sets are cached, and downloaded as needed to the browser for performance when scrolling the spreadsheet. When loading very large sets of records, multiple clicks of the double arrow buttons may be required to reach the end of the list.
